1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging in, or using https://theoilhand.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Site.

2. Description of Service

TheOilHand.com is a private networking and communication platform exclusively for oil & gas workers and family. Features include profiles, activity feeds, groups, private messaging, video calling and file sharing.

3. Eligibility & Membership

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You must currently work (or have recently worked) in the oil & gas industry. (Family of oil and gas workers may join as well.)
• All accounts are subject to manual approval by administrators.
• We reserve the right to deny or revoke membership at any time for any reason, including providing false information or violating these Terms.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Acceptable Use – You Agree NOT to:

• Post or share illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or harassing content.
• Share confidential company information, proprietary data, or trade secrets.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
• Use the Site for commercial solicitation without written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or Site systems.
• Post any material that infringes copyright or intellectual property rights.

6. Safety & Offshore Rules

• No discussion of bypassing safety procedures or regulations.
• No photos or videos that violate rig/company safety policies.
• No sharing of personal location data that could compromise rig security.

7. Content Ownership & License

You retain ownership of content you post, but you grant TheOilHand.com a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, store, and moderate that content within the platform.

8. Termination

We may suspend or delete your account immediately, without notice, for violation of these Terms or at our sole discretion.

9. No Warranty

The Site is provided “as-is.” We do not guarantee 100% uptime, data preservation, or that the service will always be error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheOilHand.com and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
